Hello! My name is Andria Zheng, and I’m from Long Island, New York. From an early age, economics has always been an enduring passion of mine. Recently, I learned that economics can essentially help preserve biodiversity, and it surprised me how the two fields could be so subtly interconnected. Thus, another passion of mine soon emerged: environmental protection, specifically wildlife conservation. People are, unsurprisingly, motivated by financial incentives; however, this can be somewhat desirable. By introducing financial subsidies, we are effectively able to curtail environmental pollution, as well as urge individuals to report poaching incidents. By writing as a journalist for Leaders in Wildlife Conservation, I’ve been given a platform to inspire our readers to take matters into their own hands. We strongly urge you to become innovative and learn about the simple solutions that could help our world thrive in the long run. This way, we can all garner significant and lasting improvements in the near future.
