Hello! My name is Meghana Nakkanti and I am from Nixa, Missouri. I am an editor and translator for Leaders in Wildlife Conservation. I have always been interested in writing and advocacy, and more recently climate advocacy. After the historic floods in Nebraska (my home state), I realized the fragility of the planet and how everything in nature is interconnected. I learned more about the effects of climate change, and that led to me researching and learning more about ecosystems and biodiversity. As a journalist for Leaders in Wildlife Conservation, I hope to help educate people about the most pressing matters the Earth is encountering. Education is powerful, and hopefully, by reading pieces I’ve cowritten, I am able to help create powerful, sustainable change.
